British Woman Finishes Record Journey Rowing Across 3 Oceans

Today British rower Roz Savage became the first woman to row across the the "Big Three" oceans of the world: the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Indian oceans. Gap Adventures Changes Name But Its Focus Remains the Same

G Adventures in Bhutan

Gap Adventures, the adventure travel tour operator that focuses on small group trips, has changed its name to G Adventures.? The name change, effective yesterday, October 1, came after losing a trademark infringement lawsuit against the clothes retailer, The Gap.

"Our name may have changed, but our principles have not. In every way that matters, we're the same company today that we were yesterday. We're still available 24/7 to answer questions. We still offer our innovative lifetime deposit. Our roster of unique trips is still incredible and wide-ranging." said Bruce Poon Tip, G Adventures' founder.

National Geographic magazine has selected one of the G Adventures tours among its "25 Best New Adventure Trips of the Year" for seven consecutive years.

Greenloons Focuses on Green Travel for Families

Greenloons is a niche ecotourism Web site chock-full of trips that have been carefully vetted for families and other travelers who want authentic eco-tours.? The site also lists trips and places where you can volunteer for eco-sensitive projects. Greenloons was started by a mom who wanted to take her family to an exotic locale in an environmentally sensitive manner but had trouble finding a trip.
